Epoxy Products
INDISOL, a specialized manufacturer, offers tailored epoxy insulators and GIS bushings for circuit breakers, fuse housing, gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), air-insulated switchgears (AIS), capacitors, and transformers. We actively support your epoxy insulator and MV bushing development, including customized epoxy housing for MV switchgear, backed by a comprehensive testing regimen covering electric serial tests, x-ray testing, gas-leakage testing, and customer-specific individual insulator inspections. In the realm of SF6 insulated T&D equipment, our focus on critical components such as medium voltage bushings, along with rigorous testing at 100% industrial frequency, partial discharges, and X-ray examinations, ensures utmost safety and reliability.
Switchgear Bushings:
Essential Insulation: Bushings act as a crucial insulator when high-voltage lines pass through grounded metal enclosures in switchgear. These enclosures are typically at ground potential.
Connection Points: Primary disconnect bushings are vital components. They act as connection points to energize the network on the outgoing side (downstream) of the switchgear. Since they’re constantly exposed to voltage within the switchgear, they’re the most likely candidates for electrical breakdown between the conductor and the surrounding grounded metal.
Transformer Bushings:
Insulating Conductors: Transformer bushings are insulators that allow energized conductors to safely pass through the grounded transformer tank.
Bushing Types:
Bar-type bushings: These have a built-in conductor.
Draw-lead or draw-rod bushings: These allow for a separate conductor to be installed through the center.
Solid vs. Capacitance-Graded: There are two main bushing constructions:
Solid bushings: These are simpler and often made of porcelain or epoxy. They’re commonly used for connecting the transformer’s low-voltage windings to the outside.
Capacitance-graded bushings: Used for higher voltage systems, these are more complex. They have an inner shield that manages the electric field around the conductor, preventing uneven stress and potential breakdowns in the insulation.
Indisol Bushing Testing Capabilities:
Indisol medium voltage bushings undergo rigorous electrical testing to ensure their reliability and safety. We have the capability to perform the following tests in-house:
Industrial Frequency Tests: Up to 150 kV – This test verifies the bushing’s ability to withstand the continuous voltage it will experience during operation.
Partial Discharge Tests: Up to 150 kV – This test detects and measures any partial discharges within the bushing’s insulation, which can indicate potential weaknesses or early signs of degradation.
By performing these comprehensive electrical tests, Indisol ensures that our bushings meet the highest quality standards and provide safe and reliable operation for your switchgear and transformers.
